Services Offered

While I do offer OHIP-covered appointments with a referral from a physician or nurse practitioner, I also provide out-of-pocket appointments for those who prefer not to wait or don’t have a referral. The good news is that many private health insurance providers now cover IBCLC appointments, so you are likely to get reimbursed. My goal is to make support as accessible and flexible as possible, whatever your situation may be.

Prenatal Appointments

A prenatal breastfeeding appointment is a great way to get a head start on your breastfeeding journey before your baby arrives. During this visit, we’ll chat about your feeding goals, go over what to expect in the first few days, and talk through any questions or concerns you might have. I’ll also cover things like how milk production works, how to get a good latch, and how to know if baby is feeding well. Whether you're a first-time parent or just looking for a refresher, this session is all about helping you feel prepared, confident, and supported from day one.

Initial Assessment

An initial breastfeeding assessment appointment is all about getting the support you need once your baby is here. I’ll take a close look at how feeding is going by checking baby’s latch, positioning, and how well they're transferring milk. I’ll also assess your comfort, answer any questions, and help troubleshoot any concerns like nipple pain, low milk supply, or a sleepy baby. This appointment gives us a chance to see what’s working, what might need some tweaking, and to come up with a plan that supports both you and your baby moving forward.

Follow Up Appointments

Follow-up breastfeeding appointments are a chance to check in and see how things are going after our initial visit. Whether you're working through a specific issue or just want reassurance that everything’s on track, I’m here to support you. We’ll review your progress, adjust any care plans if needed, and talk through any new concerns such as infant growth, pumping, returning to work, or changes in feeding. Think of it as ongoing, personalized support to help you feel confident and supported through every stage of your breastfeeding journey.

Breast-Pump Fittings

A breast pump fitting appointment helps take the guesswork out of pumping. We’ll go over your pump, make sure you have the right flange size (which can make a big difference in comfort and milk output), and talk through how to use your pump effectively. Whether you’re just getting started, returning to work, or pumping full-time, I’ll help you set up a routine that works for you and answer any questions you have along the way. A good fit can make pumping feel so much easier. I am here to help you get there.
